Delta River Cruisin' 2011

The Memphis Street Rods threw another big bash at Sam's Town Casino in Tunica MS this past weekend. Some 916 registered cars, and mostly beautiful weather made for lots of fun.

I noticed the hits to this site trended upward in the days preceding casino cruise-in, and many of those hits were to check out previous coverage of the Delta River Cruisin' event from a few years back. So I figure it's about time for a new photo gallery to show what the haps were in Tunica this time around.

This event is open to cars thru model year 1979, so there's a pretty diverse range of vehicles on hand. It's not a show in the usual sense with awards in every class imaginable, but is truly a big, organized cruise-in, with lots of door prizes being handed out with great frequency, and the added lure of the Casino with it's attractions being just a few feet away. It rained a little on Saturday, but no big hassles from the weather this year. Still, a few of the photos may look a little wet, but rest assured that this was about as close to an ideal weather weekend as you're going to get east of the Mississippi River. Even if it's only 10 feet east. Follow this link to a Photo Gallery of Delta River Cruisin' 2011 for an eyeful.
