MPE Lands Parts Plus

Good news for Memphis drag racing fans who enjoy seeing hometown favorite top fuel driver Clay Millican in action. Clay, and team owner Mark Pickens, have secured Memphis based auto parts retailer Parts Plus as their primary sponsor for 12 races in 2011. The deal will also put the MPE dragster on the entire NHRA tour throughout 2012 and 2013.
The first stop for the rejuvenated MPE race team will be the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainsville FL this coming week, March 10th - 13th. A complete press release with illustrations of the Parts Plus paint scheme is available on the MPE website.
As most well seasoned drag fans know, Clay is a six time IHRA World Champ, and has been a contender in the Full Throttle Drag Racing Series ever since first setting his sites on a NHRA title. Welcome back Mark and Clay... you've been gone too long!
