It's been 23 years since I made this photo of Tony Christian taking his pro stock Chevrolet to the winner's circle at the first ever NHRA Mid-South Nationals. There have been a lot of changes at Memphis Motorsports Park since then, but this tidbit of information revealed in the Memphis Commercial Appeal might just warrant further attention for those with an interest in the Memphis racing scene.
